A Few More Pictures from the Last Few Weeks

These are just a few funny pictures of "The Nanner" (that's short for Hanner Nanner) around the house these last few weeks. Waiting for her ride downstairs.

She has just discovered that there is stuff on her changing table. It's been there since we was born, but it's like the light just clicked on and there is all of this stuff that she can play with!

That's a bib on her butt. She was cruising around on the floor and somehow got a hold of the bib that we used to feed her. It must have fallen on the floor and in her wiggling, she got it stuck on her diaper!

Give me that cookie! My friend from college, Sarah said that one time in the caf after we went running...our friend stole her cookie and said she didn't need it. She then replied with, "I went running today, give me that cookie!" So I was thinking of Sarah when I took this picture...do you remember that Shelton?

First time to wear tights! It is stinking cold today, so I decided that Hannah could use some tights today for playing around the house...and she doesn't seem to mind them!

Swimming, Reading, Sitting, and Hats

It has been quite a week in Hannah world. She has been a busy little girl. She has been "reading" her books a lot lately, mostly, I think, because she is grabbing stuff and a book in front of her is just far too tempting! None the less, this book that my mom gave Hannah is great. It has buttons and music, which she loves anyway, so it couldn't be better for her. She loves "reading" her books and I love that she loves reading her books.

To the right, you'll see her sweet sitting up skills! That was the
first real day that she was doing it, so she is a little wobbly in this picture, but she is a pro now, when she wants to be. Sometimes, mostly when she is tired, she sits and then wants to lay down immediately. It is so cute!

Hannah finally loves taking a bath. It has taken a while for her to even tolerate it and then one day she just started liking it. She kicks like crazy and tries to drink the water off of my hand when she is on her stomach. Anyway, that's kind of a side note. The point of that story is that we decided that we could probably take her swimming now because hopefully she wouldn't hate it. And she didn't hate it. I think it was a little weird for her because I think it was like a big bathtub, but she did seem to enjoy herself. She looks pretty happy doesn't she? And look at her adorable mini bathing suit! Love it!

And last but not least, check out Hannah's sweet hat!

She tried it on while we were in Target, and is looking at my like, "Mom, really?" But I thought it was so cute that I had to send the picture to Jon and he agreed that she had to have the hat. It is super warm, so it's not like she won't get some use out of it! I think it's either a lamb or rabbit and it has matching thumb-less mittens too!

Wyoming/Texas Game in Laramie

Jon and I went up to Laramie for quit possibly the biggest game (definitely a top 5)ever in regular season in the school's history. No name UW playing number two ranked UT. It was one of those games where we knew that we would probably get creamed, but then again there's always hope. I mean the altitude always gives people trouble (we are the highest Div. 1 school in the nation) and there's always a chance for snow in September (although we didn't get any today). But alas, we did lose...but not without a fight. ESPN totally disregarded us, but I have to admit that the first half was incredibly entertaining...we were even ahead for a few minutes of the first half. It definitely made the trip worthwhile. Despite the loss, we were proud to cheer for our Cowboys and were glad we made the trip up. We stayed with our family friends Dan & Kim, helped celebrate Dan's 50th birthday Jimmy Buffet style, had our favorite biscuits and gravy for breakfast with some friends, and I even found some time to get my Mother's Day massage. It was a good weekend! Hannah also got to experience her first Cowboy game. The stories are always told about Jon's older brother, Joe, and his football attendance as a baby, and now Hannah has a similar story too. She was so good and didn't seem to mind being out in the cool, windy weather once she got her hat. What a trooper! I did try to take some pictures of the weekend, but only managed to get ones at the game... Hannah in her super cute UW gear. We bought a hat for her at the game (it's actually an adult hat that we folded and put on her. It worked great and she can wear it in the future too) and her grandparents got her the onsie. It's a picture of Pistol Pete, with her head, and says on the bottom, "I'm a Little Pistol." I totally want her to be a "little pistol" so I thought the outfit was super. Notice also the layers...she's got on A LOT of clothes: socks, baby legs, fleece sleeper/play outfit, UW onsie, and UW hat. She's prepared for Wyoming weather!

She just wanted to cuddle and sleep at the game, so clearly she is very content hanging out with her grandma.

Green Bean Goatee

Hannah has been doing much better with her solid foods lately. By the end of day 5 of squash, she was scarfing down at least half of a container each time. So, today we moved on to green beans. I wasn't sure what to expect because I know that babies can take a while before they like foods. So I was fully prepared for her to eat only a couple of bites and then move on, but she didn't. She acted as though there was no difference in the squash and the green beans (but trust me there was...I wasn't crazy about the green beans). Anyway, she was a champ and ate her usual half of a container. I think she would have eaten more if I had given it to her. So, we are on a good streak! And she seems to be so much happier lately when Jon and I eat. We put her in her high chair at dinner and feed her while we are eating. I think she really likes being a part of our meal time!

It didn't last long though, she cleaned her plate and face! More please!

I just let her sit there a few minutes to explore her bowl and spoon. She has really been wanting to, so I figured what the heck. There wasn't anything to get all over herself this time, so why not!

Ever since we got our new phones, I have been using that as my little snapshot camera. It takes pretty good pictures, and since we lost our other point and shoot camera it works well. I haven't posted many of these pictures, so I thought I would share them with you.

This is a place called Bear Creek Park. Hannah and I love to go for walks/hikes here (well I walk and push her in her BOB while she naps). It is just beautiful!

Lovin' Food

Well, Hannah is now eating "real" solid foods, not just cereals anymore. She started squash yesterday and seems to really like it. The only problem is that every morning when it is time to feed her squash (second feeding of the day), she starts going to the bathroom (number 2). She is really funny because she grunts and absolutely cannot do anything, except focus. If you try to feed her, it makes her mad and then doesn't want to have anything to do with you, let alone sit in her chair to eat. So, I either try to give her the food as soon as I notice what's going on, or I try to wait it out. She doesn't seem to mind because she really does seem to like it. She does what Jon and I call, "The Viper Strike." She clinches her lips and holds her jaw together(we call it, "the lock jaw") while I hold the spoon in front of her mouth, and then attack! She takes a huge bite, makes me think that she is trying to swallow the spoon whole and eats what's on the spoon. Quite hilarious!

I also finally pulled out her three to six month clothes and got those all washed this week. We are also about to change over to size 2 diapers, so she is definitely growing. Her are a few of her latest pictures. Hope you like them!

Hannah passed out in her exersaucer. One minute she is playing and laughing and the next I look over (because she is suddenly quite) and the next she is out.
Don't worry, I only left her like this long enough to snap a few pictures.

I LOVE this onsie and she has a bow to match it (even better)!!
